Ron started singing barbershop in 1985 with the Fostoria Lake Plains Chorus in Ohio after hearing them at Christmas time. He started with the chorus almost immediately and was then elected Music VP, a position which he held until moving to San Antonio in 1988. Due to a new job, singing barbershop ceased until joining the San Antonio Chordsmen in 2004. He now sings tenor with the chapter quartet 'til midnight. |

| Rich started singing at an early age as his mother taught music at home. After singing in church and school choirs over the years, he joined SPEBSQSA in 1982 with the “Big V Showboat Chorus” in Vacaville CA, while flying as a pilot for the Air Force. During his career, moving from station to station, he also sang with the Belleville, IL, Belleville Notes and St. Charles, MO, Ambassadors of Harmony choruses, earning a gold district medal and bronze International medal in 1999. Rich retired from the Air Force in 2001, as a Colonel, with 32 years service. He continues to work part time with Edward Jones Investments, having also recently retired as a “stock broker”. He continues many pursuits, including piloting his antique aircraft with CAP and CAF.
